Detectives are investigating an incident overnight where shots were fired at a residence in Durack.

Initial investigations suggest just before 11pm a vehicle, believed to be a dark coloured Holden Commodore, has driven past a Duncombe Street address.

A firearm was discharged by a passenger inside the vehicle with six shots fired in the direction of the house.

On arrival, police observed damage to the front fence and gate and damage to a front door of the house where a bullet had passed through.

At the time of the incident, four people were inside the house but were unharmed.

Police established a crime scene and continue to investigate the incident.

Detectives are appealing for anyone in the area who witnessed the dark coloured Holden Commodore (possibly a Maloo version) or suspicious activity around the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
