Police have charged a man after they located an allegedly stolen vehicle in Kingston around 11am yesterday.
It is alleged that a red Hyundai was allegedly stolen from a Logan Village address between the September 13 and 14 and had been involved in several offences since.
After sighting the vehicle, police observed the car to enter and park at a convenience store on Juers Street. Police parked behind the vehicle.
Without warning the driver allegedly reversed into the police car. Three occupants including the driver attempted to exit the stolen car and run from police.
All three occupants were arrested at the scene. The two passengers were later released without charge.
No one was injured during the incident however there was minor damage to both vehicles involved.
The driver was transported to the Logan Central Police Station where he was interviewed and charged by the Logan District Property Team.
He was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, drug offences, stealing offences, break and enter offences and wilful damage.
He was denied police bail and he will front Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
