Detectives from Taskforce Maxima have released CCTV footage of two men who may be able to assist with their investigation into an assault at a Broadbeach gym on April 20.

A 26-year-old male OMCG member and two associates entered the Hooker Boulevard gym and enquired about the facilities.

The trio proceeded to approach a rival OMCG member, a 25-year-old Burleigh Heads man, who was inside the facility.

The 26-year-old man allegedly physically assaulted the man causing him to fall to the ground where he was punched a number of times.

The trio then left the premises and made their way to a valet car park.

On May 2, Detectives from Taskforce Maxima – Gold Coast Tactical charged a 26-year-old Oxenford man with one count of affray, and he is scheduled to reappear in Southport Magistrates Court on May 16.

Investigations are continuing into the involvement of the two associates.

One man is described as having a solid build, and was wearing a black T-shirt with white writing, light-coloured or grey shorts with dark writing, black sandshoes, a black baseball hat and a tattoo on his lower right leg.

The second man is described as having a solid build, and was wearing a black T-shirt with a white adidas logo, black track suit pants, black sandshoes, dark sunglasses and a bandage on his right wrist.

Police are encouraging anyone who recognises the two men to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

“Task Force Maxima’s continued dedication to investigate, prosecute, disrupt and dismantle such OMCG activities in South East Queensland, is aimed at fostering a safer place for the community to go about their daily lives,” Detective Superintendent Niland said.
